JEFFERSON CITY, MO– Dr. Alisa Warren, Executive Director of the Commission on Human Rights of the Missouri Department of Labor, will receive the 2013 Humanitarian Award from the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. State Celebration Commission. Dr. Warren will be honored at the 27th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. State Celebration of Missouri, held at 6:30 p.m. at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. State Celebration Commission is an independent commission housed in MCHR. It is responsible for considering and recommending to individuals and organizations appropriate Missouri activities for the recognition and celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
